Amity Balanced Fund for Charities
The Amity Balanced Fund for Charities is designed to meet the needs of Charity investors who are looking for a balance between income and capital growth over the medium to long term.*
Income objective
The Fund targets an income of 5% per annum** (please note this is indicative and the actual income may vary).
Investment policy
The Fund seeks to primarily invest in a diversified portfolio of UK and international equities and fixed interest securities issued by governments and companies which make a positive contribution to society through sustainable and socially responsible practices.
The Fund seeks to avoid investment in companies which have a material involvement (10% of pre-tax profit or turnover) in alcohol, tobacco, weapons production, gambling and the publication of violent or explicit material, companies using animals to test cosmetic or household products and businesses with intensive farming practices, such as battery farming.
Ethical criteria
EIM employs both negative and positive screening to its stock selection process and engages with companies before, during and after investing. This process is integrated into our overall investment management process and we employ specfic screening criteria when considering the suitability of an investment.
