Amity Sterling Bond Fund

Co-managed by Rob Hepworth and Chris Hiorns, the Amity Sterling Bond Fund seeks to invest in a highly diversified portfolio of Government and good quality fixed interest securities issued by companies which make a positive contribution to society and the environment through sustainable and socially responsible practices. The Fund seeks to avoid investment in certain areas such as  companies which have a material involvement in alcohol, tobacco and weapon production, gambling and publication of violent or explicit materials.

Investment objectives

This Fund aims to achieve attractive income from investing in UK Government and good quality sterling fixed interest securities including UK government bonds, corporate bonds, preference shares, convertibles and other loan stock.

    Robin Hepworth, Senior Fund Manager

    Rob Hepworth, our Senior Fund Manager, is AA rated by Citywire*. Rob joined Ecclesiastical as General Investment Analyst in 1988, and was appointed Fund Manager of the Pension Fund in 1990 and the Higher Income Fund in 1994. He has managed the Amity International Fund since its launch in 1999, and co-manages the Amity Sterling Bond Fund with Chris Hiorns.

    Rob has been included by Citywire in its 'Selection' list of Top Fund Managers and has been identified by Trustnet as one of it's Alpha managers based on his consistency of performance. (Both as at 30 August 2011).

    Chris Hiorns, Fund Manager

    Chris graduated in 1995, with an MSc in Economics from University College London. He joined Ecclesiastical in 1996 as a Research Assistant and took over the management of the Amity European Fund in 2007. He also co-manages the Amity Sterling Bond Fund with Robin Hepworth.

    Chris has been a CFA Charterholder since 2004 and is A* rated by Citywire, 30 August 2011.
